José Mourinho frustrated at United’s lack of progress in transfer window

Manchester United manager José Mourinho is reportedly unhappy at the club’s progress in the transfer window so far, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Mourinho is confident at making a huge signing this summer to add to the signing of £30m centre-back Eric Bailly from Villarreal, but MEN Sport reports that the Portuguese boss is unhappy that Ed Woodward has failed to clinch additional deals early.

United could have possibly wrapped up a deal for Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches a week before he signed for Bayern Munich, yet decided against it as Louis van Gaal was not interested in signing the player, and the club did not want to publicly undermine him.

Mourinho reportedly wants to bring four players to Old Trafford this summer, with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the forefront of United’s transfer rumours recently.

Reports on Saturday also claimed that Manchester United are interested in Paul Pogba, with the Telegraph stating that the Red Devils have entered talks with Juventus concerning their former player.
