Manchester United were back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday, as they thrashed Leicester City 4-1, scoring all four of their goals in the first half.

Pogba, who scored United’s fourth goal, described their first half performance as ‘almost perfect,’ and said that it was their best display since the start of the season.

The Frenchman also praised United’s resolve in the second half, and hopes the team can carry on performing to this level.

“The first half was almost perfect and that’s why we won the game I think. It was our best half since the start of the season,” he told MUTV.

“It wasn’t easy for the players in the second half to switch on when we knew Leicester were going to push up to try to score goals but I think we did great.

“The thing we did well was we did great without the ball. It was very important and when we had the ball we just played like I knew we could.

“We were very focused and we produced a big performance on the pitch. We want to carry on like this.”

Pogba was also pleased to open his scoring account for Manchester United, and does not plan to stop the goals flowing throughout the season.

“It feels great to get my first goal at Old Trafford. For me it was very good and very important. I hope it won’t be the last one,” he said.
