According to calciomercato.it, Manchester United have launched a fresh bid for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, and not only that, but a bid that is not far off the minimum €55m asking price for the player.
The report states that Inter will take a few days to consider the offer, and could even make the decision to let the Croatian international move to Old Trafford as early as this weekend.
It’s worth noting that Inter need to raise €30m in funds by June 30 in order to keep in line with Financial Fair Play regulations, something that might just prompt them further to let Perisic go.
Perisic has divided the fanbase since being linked with United, with many claiming that he simply is not good enough for the first-team, and others saying that he’d be a perfect player in a Mourinho system.
Well, there is only one way to find out, and that’s if Perisic does in fact move to Old Trafford, and the latest reports from Italy suggest he is edging closer.
