Roma’s Director of Football: Nainggolan won’t leave

Well it seems that you can put the Radja Nainggolan to Manchester United rumours to bed.

Roma’s director of football Monchi announced that “the time of sales is over.”

Nainggolan, 29, was reported to be a leading transfer target for José Mourinho as the Portuguese manager enters his second year at United’s helm.

“Nainggolan will definitely remain at Roma,” said Monchi at a recent press conference.

“The time of sales of important players is over. Now we build a team with options that the market provides.”

The Rome-based club has already made a number of sales this summer, the most notable being Mohamed Salah to Liverpool and Leandro Paredes to Zenit St Petersburg. The sale of Antoine Rudiger to Chelsea is also considered to be imminent.

Totenham’s Eric Dier, Chelsea’s Nemanja Matić, and Moncao’s Fabinho are amoung the other names that have been touted as possible midfield reinforcements for United this summer.
