Spurs defender reportedly open to exit, with United chasing his signature

Danny Rose is considering his future at Tottenham Hotspur and would be interested in a move away from the club, according to reports in the London Evening Standard.

The English left-back has established himself as a key member of Mauricio Pochettino’s side, establishing the spot at the back as his own last season, but is now reportedly considering his options after questioning his chances of winning silverware at Tottenham. As mentioned, Rose is certainly an important member of Tottenham’s side and despite being content at the club, he is supposedly happy to hear Manchester United and Jose Mourinho’s interest in himself.

The Portuguese manager is a long term admirer of the left-back, as he is considering options in order to bolster a rather depleted United defence. The left-back position at Old Trafford is certainly up for grabs in present time, with both Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo still recovering from long term injuries, thus making Matteo Darmian the makeshift choice.

Danny Rose’s stock is however speculated to be in high demand, with both PSG and league rivals Chelsea also remaining keen on signing the twenty seven year old. With Tottenham having already offloaded their opposite flanked fullback in Kyle Walker, the club are however inevitably reluctant to let Rose go.

Despite a deal this summer window looking rather unlikely, fans should be wary with regards to any further developments in this transfer story. With Rose reportedly considering his options, alongside United being admirers, we may count this as the first seeds being planted in what could be a transfer for the forthcoming future.
