Ivan Perisic’s agent, Fali Ramadani, will arrive in Milan over the next 24 hours to discuss his client’s future with Inter Milan officials, according to the reports in MEN.
Perisic has undoubtedly become a name that the Manchester United fan-base have become accustomed to, with his future at Inter Milan having been uncertain since the beginning of July, following Jose Mourinho’s apparent admiration of the player. United’s hunt for a wide player has certainly not been made any secret, with other attacking names such as, Gareth Bale, Alexis Sanchez and even Emil Forsberg being mentioned.
However, it is the Croatian winger that United seem to want the most and have reportedly had a £39m bid rejected, as Inter value the player at around the £48m mark. This has undoubtedly been the major stumbling block with regards to the transfer, with United seemingly not being too keen on paying a fee in this region, particularly for a 28-year-old.
Whilst the deal was thought to be dead in the water, the breaking news today with regards to Perisic’s agent should mean that we get a definite answer within the next 24 hours. Italian news outlet, Calciomercato, claim that Ramadani’s meeting is to discuss as to whether Perisic will be allowed to leave Italy for Manchester, or alternatively, extend his stay with Inter. The story is certainly one that fans should keep an eye on, as a statement is expected to be made across the next 24 hours.
