Manchester United is one of four clubs chasing Valencia’s academy midfielder Ferhat Cogalan, according to sources telling Turkish-Football.

The report states that the Manchester club faces competition from Arsenal, Galatasaray, and AC Milan for the 15-year old.

United are keen to attract the Turkish-born wonder-kid to Carrington before he signs a professional contract with Valencia.

It is believed that Cogalan and his representatives are currently assessing the youngster’s options and will discuss his future with the La Liga club shortly.

According to Turkish-Football, United were alerted to the “crown-jewel” of Valencia’s academy by former player Phil Neville when the Englishman served as assistant coach at the Spanish club.

Cogalan’s father Sedat has previously travelled to Manchester to hold talks with United’s academy officials regarding a move.

Speaking about the visit, Sedat Cogalan was quoted as saying: “We’re in no hurry because Ferhat is in contract with Valencia until 2021.

“But when a club like Manchester United invites us, it is logical that we study the proposal, right?”
