Manchester United may finally get their man.

According to ESPN sources, Manchester United are weighing up a €100m move to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann at the end of the summer.

It is believed that Atleti’s signing of former Chelsea striker Diego Costa has increased the likelihood that the Frenchman joins the Red side of Manchester in 2018.

United were keen to sign Griezmann last summer; however, the Rojiblancos‘ transfer ban to January 2018 put a damper on the proposed move with United cooling their interest in the player and Griezmann saying it would be a “dirty move to leave now.”

United, however, continue to remain interested in the French international and are very likely to return for Griezmann in the summer by triggering his €100m release clause.

José Mourinho identified the former Real Sociedad attacker as a key transfer target last spring. It is also believed that Griezmann remains eager to move to the Premier League and begin the next stage of his footballing career.
