Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku faces the possibility of a three-match ban as the FA is set to review match footage from Saturday, which appears to show the Belgian kicking out at Brighton left-back Gaetan Bong, as per ESPN.

The incident in question occurred just moments prior to Lewis Dunk’s own goal. In the footage, Lukaku is seen kicking out twice at Bong, with the second motion appearing to strike the Brighton defender. Lukaku’s actions went unpunished at the time by referee Neil Swarbrick.

If the incident is not included in Swarbrick’s match report which is due to be submitted on Monday, the FA can refer to video evidence, and charge Lukaku with violent conduct.

If the Manchester United striker were to be found guilty of violent conduct, he would miss United’s next three league games – including the clash against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, and the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on December 10th.
