Manchester United are considering a January move for Bordeaux winger Malcom as manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his attacking options, according to the latest reports from The Times.

The 20-year-old arrived at the French club in 2015 from Brazilian side Corinthians and has quickly established himself as one of the brightest young attacking talents in all of Europe.

Malcom has scored seven goals and registered four assists in 15 Ligue 1 starts for Bordeaux this season and Mourinho has shortlisted the Brazilian on his transfer list as he searches for an attacker who can offer United pace and directness on the right-wing with current options Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata failing to live up to the mark this season.

The Portuguese manager is believed to have been given £80m to spend in the January window and he is currently considering whether or not to sanction a £26m move for Malcom.

United’s other rumoured January targets include want-away Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, Tottentham’s Danny Rose, and Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil.
