Paul Pogba withdraws from France squad

Paul Pogba has withdrawn from the France squad after twisting his ankle in the 1-1 draw at Southampton on Saturday.

The France midfielder played the full 90 minutes at St. Marys but was seen limping out of the arena after the game. With experience being a luxury for Manchester United at the moment, United fans will be waiting in suspense to hear more about the midfielders condition.

France announced on Monday that Paul Pogba will stay in Manchester and play no part in their upcoming games, with Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi taking his place.

Solskjaer commented on Pogba’s injury after the stalemate at Southampton rather optimistically – suggesting that he would be fine to travel with his French teammates.

“He twisted his ankle, I think, but he’ll go away and hopefully it’s not too bad and he can play for France because I know how much he loves his country and playing for them.”
