United begin contract talks with Paul Pogba

Manchester United have preliminary opened contract talks with Paul Pogba, according to The Times.

The midfielder is without a doubt United’s most important player and keeping him is thought to be one of Solskjaer’s priorities. Pogba, who rejoined United in 2016 after four years with Juventus, is one of United’s very few world class players and keeping him would be a big statement of intent from Manchester United.

The 26-year old has two years remaining on his current contract as well as a clause United could activate when he enters his final 12 months, adding an additional year to it.

Pogba was heavily linked with Real Madrid this past summer and the player has done little to deny rumours, even hinting that he would be open to a new challenge while on vacation in the summer.
