Player Ratings

Player Ratings: Norwich City 1 Manchester United 3

David de Gea: 6
Had only the one save to make but it needed to be done.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 9
Absolutely brilliant throughout the whole game. Norwich brought on Onel Hernandez in the second half to run at Wan-Bissaka, who was booked in the second half but the right-back did brilliantly to keep him out.

Victor Lindelöf: 6
Didn’t have all that much to do but got the job done.

Harry Maguire: 6
Got the job done but was a bit passive for Norwich’s goal. A lack of concentration from the entire team.

Ashley Young: 6
Stupidly risked a red card in the second half after lunging at Aarons.

Fred: 7
Has really improved lately and put a good shift in.

Scott McTominay: 10
Fantastic performance from McTominay who keeps getting better and better. He was absolutely everywhere on the pitch and at the heart of everything that United did, especially in the first half. Fantastic finish for the goal as well. Gave away the ball for the goal at the end but it was a colossal showing from the midfielder.

Daniel James: 9
Many wondered whether James had any kind of final ball in him at the start of the season and after the 1-1 draw at Wolverhampton. Since then, the importance of playing for this club has not been lost on the Welshman. Constantly attacking down the flanks and putting in decisive balls.

He assisted Rashford against Liverpool last week and once again today with a brilliant 30-yard-pass to the on-running Marcus Rashford.

Andreas Pereira: 7
The Brazilian is a workhorse and did the job today as well. His lacking final ball is an issue though.

Marcus Rashford: 7
The second penalty he misses this season but put it out of his mind and scored instantly afterwards. Fantastic pass to set up Martial for United’s third.

Anthony Martial: 6
Should’ve got a hattrick on the day but we’ll put it down to being rusty after over 2 months on the sidelines. Finished brilliantly with an audacious chip over Tim Krul.
