Mkhitaryan agent pushing move, Embolo approached & more – transfer roundup

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been extensively linked to Manchester United in the past few days, after his agent, Mino Raiola has spoken out about his client’s desires to leave Borussia Dortmund for Old Trafford.

Despite Dortmund refusing to sell the player this summer, as his contract expires in 2017, Raiola still insists that he’s pushing for the move.

Reported by BBC Sport, he said: “It would be a sin to stop talking. I am a positive guy. If I wasn’t confident of reaching some kind of conclusion, I wouldn’t try.

“I am very proud Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere, but at the moment Dortmund are still saying no.”

Another player that United have been linked with in the past week or so is FC Basel’s 19-year-old starlet Breel Embolo.

The Swiss international is regarded as one of the brightest prodigies in European football, and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that United have approached the player to ask about his plans for the future.

A few days ago, reports emerged that the Red Devils had sent a €10m bid for Bordeaux youngster Adam Ounas.

Today, the France U20 international followed the official Manchester United account on Twitter, and added United players Anthony Martial, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford to his Instagram following list.

Whether this is just a coincidence or not is yet to be seen, but it has certainly sparked some interest concerning a possible move to Old Trafford for the youngster.
