One of the transfers of the summer could be a potential transfer of Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund.
Mino Raiola, Mkhitaryan’s agent, has claimed that the player is very keen to join Man United and that Raiola is currently negotiating a transfer with Dortmund.
“If I get an offer from United (for Mkhitaryan), it’s a unique opportunity. He wants to play there.” Raiola told BILD.
This quote excited United fans with more quotes following in the next few days…
“Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation.”
“I am a positive guy. If I wasn’t confident of reaching some kind of conclusion, I wouldn’t try. I am very proud Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere. At the moment, Dortmund are still saying no.”
So it seems that Mino Raiola is thoroughly pushing for a transfer to happen but Dortmund don’t seem to be budging and are willing to part ways with Mkhi once his contract expires – in 2017.
On 9th June, news broke that United were interested in the Armenian international as well as Arsenal but as of now it looks like United are much closer to the signing than the North London club.
