Manchester United offer Schweinsteiger to Juventus

Manchester United boss José Mourinho has made it rather clear that World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger is not in his plans for the future, and reports from Italy suggest that the midfielder has been offered to Juventus.

United just wrapped up an £89m-deal to bring Paul Pogba from Juventus back to Old Trafford, putting Schweinsteiger’s future in even more doubt, as the two play in the same position.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as per forzaitalianfootball.com, negotiations between Juventus and United over Schweinsteiger have taken a step further, with the Red Devils outright offering the 32-year-old to the Italian champions as a result of the recent Pogba transfer.

Internazionale, AC Milan and Lazio are also reportedly interested in Schweinsteiger, who was troubled last season by an ongoing knee problem.

Last week, Mourinho banished the midfielder to train with the reserves as he is so determined to sell him, to which one FIFPro chief said the Portuguese boss should be “jailed for three years” for.

A report from PA, as per ESPN, also claims that some English club’s are interested in obtaining the German’s services.
