Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata has taken the dramatic step of leaving his honeymoon in order to push through his move to Manchester United.
Morata’s wife posted on Instagram from Ibiza but there was no sign of the striker, who, according to AS, has returned to Madrid to push through his switch to Old Trafford.
The Spanish outlet claim that United have submitted an offer of €74m for the forward, yet Madrid are holding out for €85-90m.
AS claim that Morata wants to prevent his transfer from becoming a ‘soap opera,’ and the next day or so could be ‘decisive’.
With pre-season training starting on July 8, Mourinho wants to get his squad for the upcoming season assembled as soon as possible, with deals for Morata, Fabinho, and Nemanja Matic reportedly nearing their conclusions.
