Injury update: Shaw, Martial and Diogo Dalot

Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial both suffered injuries in United’s 1-2 defeat at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, leaving United in a mess going into the final game before the international break.

Shaw was substituted in the first half with Ashley Young taking his place while Martial had to finish the game with a knock after all substitutions had already been made.

According to The Times, Luke Shaw will have further tests on a suspected hamstring injury today but initial prognosis does not look good.

The newspaper claims that the player thinks he could miss a month of football and even longer should test results be as bad as feared.

Anthony Martial‘s thigh injury is not deemed to be as serious but the club still wait on test results. Solskjaer is believed to be hopeful that the injury is not serious and that the striker could train later this week.

Diogo Dalot, the natural replacement for Luke Shaw in defence, is still injured and believed to be returning to training after the international break.
