Manchester United are preparing for the return of the 2019/20 Premier League season and are set to return to Carrington for training on May 18.
Chris Wheeler and Simon Jones report that the squad have been told to prepare for a return to training, but that they must wash their own kit as the usual facilities will not be available. Clubs are expected to have three weeks of training before games recommence.
Players will have travel to Carrington alone and will have to train in small groups to meet social distancing rules. The club have told players abroad that they must return to the country on May 4 so they can self-isolate for a precautionary two weeks.
As part of the Premier League’s ‘Project Restart’, play is set to resume on June 8, but is still dependent on lockdown restrictions.
