Harry Maguire has praised teammate Marcus Rashford and is adamant that the winger will have a long and successful career at Manchester United.
Maguire, who was made captain in February after Ashley Young’s departure, has taken on a greater role and responsibility since the turn of the year but insists that he’s been a fan of Rashford ever since they turned out for the Three Lions together.
Maguire made an appearance on United’s official podcast as he continues with his media duties despite the coronavirus temporarily bringing football to a halt.
“On the pitch, like I said, he’s amazed me. He’s the most talented player I’ve ever played with,” Maguire told UTD Podcast.
“I’ve always spoken so highly of Marcus when I have been with him in the England squad. I can’t speak highly enough of him. I think he’s going to go on to have an exceptional career.
“I don’t want to put too much pressure on him but I think he’s going to be a wonderful player for Manchester United, as he is now.
“He’s the best six-a-side player I’ve played with. Marcus is in my team and I know he’d be banging in goals left, right and centre.”
It’s certainly high praise from someone who has played with Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane, just to name a few.
