Manchester United’s potential Champions League opponents

Champions League football is coming back to Old Trafford.

Manchester United secured qualification into Europe’s most prestigious competition on the final day of the 19/20 season, and will today find out who they will face in the group stage.

Coverage of the draw is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm, with the teams being drawn at around 4:30pm.

The Red Devils find themselves in pot two, meaning they are guaranteed at least one tough fixture from the ‘tougher’ pot one. Below are the following teams that United could be drawn against (one from each pot):

Pot 1: Bayern Munich, Sevilla, Real Madrid, Juventus, PSG, Zenit St Petersburg, FC Porto.

Pot 3: Dynamo Kyiv, Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan, Olympiacos, Lazio, Krasnodar, Atalanta.

Pot 4: Lokomotiv Moscow, Marseille, Club Brugge, Borussia Monchengladbach, Istanbul Basaksehir, Midtjylland, Rennes, Ferencvaros.

As this is the group stage, teams cannot be drawn against a club from their same country. Liverpool are in pot one, but cannot be drawn against United.

Manchester City and Chelsea find themselves in pot two, with the following teams being: Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax.
