Paul Pogba has heart set on Juventus return

Paul Pogba wishes to leave Manchester United and has his heart set on a move back to Juventus, according to Paul Hirst of The Times.

The Frenchman’s agent, Mino Raiola, has ignited such transfer rumours after publicly stating that the player has no intention of signing a new deal with the club. United have triggered the one-year extension clause in Pogba’s contract, which now expires in 2022.

Raiola though, has stated that his future at Old Trafford is ‘done’, prompting various stories and speculation. As per the above outlet, the player is keen to return to Italy – Fabrizio Romano has also recently revealed that Juventus made an unofficial bid for the 27-year-old in summer.

The Times claim though that facilitating a move could prove tricky from a financial perspective, as Juventus have suffered ‘heavy losses’, amid the global pandemic. However, should Pogba manage to negotiate his departure, he is keen on a return to Turin.

PSG and Real Madrid are also cited in having an interest, two long term admirers of the midfielder.

It would, however, seem that Italy is Pogba’s most likely destination. Juventus’ managing director, Fabio Paratici, has recently hinted at their desire to bring the player back, claiming they ‘love’ him.
