Alex Scott: What’s been said?
It comes amid newly-established interest from Manchester United, who have added the coveted midfielder to their shortlist ahead of the window opening later this month.
Scott, 22, is on the back of a stellar campaign with the Cherries, one that saw him make 37 appearances (34 of which were as a starter) and play a pivotal role in Bournemouth securing European football for the first-ever time in their history.
Whether or not he’ll stick around to feature in the Europa League, however, remains to be seen.
Mark Critchley’s report adds that the Red Devils have approached Bournemouth to gauge how a deal for Scott may look.
Bournemouth braced for Scott bids
Understandably, they are reluctant to part ways with the young starlet, but may struggle to keep hold of him if he receives more lucrative proposals in the coming weeks.
As things stand, Scott’s terms will run until 2028.
He signed from Bristol City in 2023 in a £25 million switch, with the Dorset outfit beating a host of Premier League sides to his signature.
The Guernsey native had seemingly set his sights on a venture where he could gain some crucial top-flight experience, and he has done exactly that throughout his three seasons at the Vitality Stadium.
While it’s unlikely to play a major part in his decision-making, Scott’s half-sister, Maya Le Tissier, is captain of United Women. Their family would certainly appreciate the pair plying their trade in such close proximity.
