Rafael Leao has admitted he would relish the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League next season.
It comes after the coveted forward disclosed his desire to leave AC Milan in search of a new venture this summer.
What has Rafael Leao said about his future?
Speaking to SportTV, he said: “I want a new challenge out of Serie A. I follow the Premier League with great attention. If I have the opportunity to play there or La Liga, I would be really happy because my talent would be exalted there.
“Let’s see what will happen this summer.”
Previously, Leao also told Cernucci: “I often watch the Premier League. I like Manchester United, especially because of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is my idol, but also Arsenal is a team I follow on TV.”
Manchester United, who are confirmed admirers of Leao, will undoubtedly be taking heed of his comments.

Leao waiting on summer switch from San Siro
In making such an admission, the 26-year-old has also applied pressure to the Milan board to facilitate his exit if suitors make their approaches in the coming weeks.
However, Leao being called up to represent his nation at the World Cup this month means any negotiations over his future will likely have to wait until Portugal have finished their campaign.
He will be hoping to make a difference in Roberto Martinez’s side while playing alongside potential future club teammates Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, both of whom would only have positive things to say about United.
Leao has returned 80 goals and 65 assists in 291 appearances for the Rossoneri, including 64 goals and 50 assists in 227 Serie A matches.

He won the Scudetto with Milan back in 2022, as well as the Italian Super Cup in 2025.
At the end of Milan’s title-winning campaign in 2021/2022, the Sporting CP graduate was named the division’s Most Valuable Player.
