After missing out on first-choice left-wing target Anthony Gordon, Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a swoop for Marcus Rashford.
Gordon completed his Camp Nou move last week after the Blaugrana ignited a shock pursuit of the forward, before agreeing a costly £70 million deal with Newcastle United.
Gordon transfer casts Rashford’s Barça future into doubt
In turn, Rashford’s future with Barcelona has been left up in the air ahead of his loan agreement officially expiring at the end of the month.
His priority for the coming weeks will be maintaining his stellar form while representing England at the World Cup, but there’s no doubt he’ll be sweating over his club situation throughout.

Rashford’s record in all competitions for Barcelona
Manchester United are keen to cash in while his value is high, and, according to Alex McCarthy, they believe that their academy graduate is worth £34.5m.
Barcelona would only have to pay £26m to make Rashford’s transfer permanent via his buy option, although they are now said to be targeting an out-and-out No.9 following Robert Lewandowski’s confirmed departure.
What’s Bayern’s stance on Rashford?
Bayern, meanwhile, are willing to meet the Red Devils’ demands for Rashford, but aren’t so keen on matching his £325,000-a-week wages.
The 28-year-old would need to approve a pay cut if he were to seal an Allianz Arena switch this summer, as well as accept that he won’t be guaranteed a permanent starting spot in Vincent Kompany’s world-class XI.
Yet, the German giants are also considering alternative options, having registered their interest in Liverpool starlet and recent Three Lions debutant Rio Ngumoha, along with Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, who will be made available when the window opens.

United would be happy to facilitate a sale to the highest bidder, as any fee they receive from Rashford’s departure would be classed as pure profit.
