Should Manchester United facilitate a deal for one of their England targets during the World Cup, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed a medical would be able to happen while they’re in camp.
For the Red Devils, you’d imagine it would only really concern Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers.
Elliot Anderson: The state of play
United have been linked with both, but most prominently Anderson.
The coveted midfielder is expected to be on the move from Nottingham Forest this summer following two stellar seasons at the City Ground, with United and Manchester City his two most firm admirers.

It’s thought that the 23-year-0ld would prefer a switch to the Etihad over Old Trafford, even in the aftermath of Pep Guardiola’s departure.
However, the Reds will ensure they’re at the front of the queue if nothing materialised between Anderson and City, particularly since their opening bid was rejected by Forest last week.
United keeping tabs on Rogers
As for Rogers, speculation has suggested that Aston Villa are ready to cash in on him while his value is so high.

The fact that he was chosen by Tuchel for the World Cup over the likes of Cole Palmer and Morgan Gibbs-White speaks volumes about how much he’s impressed this season, which culminated with the attacker being crowned a Europa League winner last month.
Rogers isn’t short of interest; Paris Saint-Germain are even among his lengthy list of suitors, though it remains to be seen where his preference lies ahead of the window opening.
Joining United would see him reunite with former Middlesbrough coach Michael Carrick, who will be staying in M16 as permanent manager.
What did Tuchel say about potential transfers?
Pressed on the prospect of transfer negotiations happening during the tournament, Tuchel said of the situation: “If anyone has the chance to complete a transfer, we will not stand in the way, but it has to align with our schedule and our goals, which is to be focused and prepare for matches. The last day before the match & the second last day, not.
“Until now, no player approached me. The doctor is ready to take any medical if needed! We are always happy to help to have clarity around the player.”
