Manchester United have reportedly been mulling over whether they should reignite their longstanding interest in Jarrad Branthwaite.
That’s according to MailSport, which adds that Bayern Munich and Manchester City have also added the Everton stalwart to their shortlists.

Initially, they tested the Toffees’ resolve with a £35 million bid for the then-21-year-old, which was swiftly rejected.
United then returned with an improved proposal of £45m, but saw their attempts rebuffed once again, prompting them to end their interest.
INEOS decided to turn their attention elsewhere, eventually shelling out £90.7m to bring in Leny Yoro (£52.2m upfront) and Matthijs de Ligt (£38.5m upfront) from Lille and Bayern Munich, respectively.
The pair providing backup to Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez, as well as youngster Ayden Heaven breaking into the first team, meant United were satisfied enough with the centre-half department to bolster other areas of the squad instead.
However, the return of Champions League football to the schedule next season has seemingly prompted INEOS to consider re-entering the market for a new addition this summer – and Branthwaite remains a firm favourite amongst club scouts.

Everton, understandably, have no desire to part ways with the one-capped England international, hence valuing him in the region of £70m to deter potential suitors.
The Red Devils’ submission of any fresh bid will also hinge on which players they can offload when the window opens, as the midfield will be taking the utmost priority with the current budget available.
