Indeed, the clause expired last week without the Blaugrana shelling out the fee, despite being keen to have Rashford in Hansi Flick’s ranks for 2026/2027.
It’s thought they would favour another loan for the upcoming season, but United are understandably completely closed off to the prospect.

They want to cash in while the attacker’s value is so high, or, if need be, have him revive his Red Devils career under Michael Carrick next term.

One Times Sport journalist, Matt Lawton, believes United could well be inundated with offers for their academy graduate when the Three Lions’ campaign is over.
