The Oranje went on to secure a 5-1 triumph in Houston, with Brobbey giving Ronald Koeman plenty of food for thought over his starting frontline for their final group-stage clash with Tunisia.
In the victory, Crysencio Summerville, who’s also been heavily linked with United, came off the bench at half-time before adding a goal to his account in the 89th minute.

Brobbey’s maiden term in England saw him return seven goals and an assist in 32 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats.
These included contributions against arch-rivals Newcastle United, which aided Sunderland on their way to completing a shock double over the Tyneside outfit, as well as eventual champions Arsenal in a 2-2 draw.
The 24-year-old, hailed as a ‘phenomenal’ talent, started 22 times in total, so will be hoping to increase that number next season – whether that be for Sunderland or another club.
