Lewis Hall reportedly ‘would be open’ to joining Manchester United this summer in order to continue playing in the Champions League.
That’s according to The Sun, which also adds that Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui have no desire to depart Old Trafford in the transfer window.
Why are United interested in Lewis Hall?
Hall has been identified as a suitable long-term successor to Luke Shaw, who is about to enter the final season of his contract.
There is no 12-month option included in his terms, meaning a new agreement would have to be negotiated if the 30-year-old were to extend his Red Devils tenure beyond 13 years.
Acquiring Hall, 21, before deadline day would’ve allowed him a campaign of rotating with Shaw, after which he would presumably become first-choice left-back.

The Newcastle United star is contracted to St. James’ Park until 2029, and the club have zero intention of facilitating his exit.
Would Hall push for a move to Old Trafford?
However, Hall himself is said to partly blame Eddie Howe for his World Cup omission, with the youngster controversially left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad following a turbulent end to 2025/2026.

Arsenal have already begun sizing up a deal for talisman Bruno Guimaraes, while Sandro Tonali also wants out and has held talks with Tottenham Hotspur.
It remains to be seen if any player would follow the Alexander Isak route of forcing a move, though Hall, who’s valued at £60 million, is highly unlikely to, given he is a boyhood Newcastle fan.
