Bournemouth are frantically trying to agree a new deal with Alex Scott in order to deter growing interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Even still, the two clubs in pursuit are unlikely to be fazed by any new terms being agreed and would still feel an agreement is possible this summer, according to Nathan Salt.
Bournemouth’s view on Alex Scott is that he is not for sale, and they are desperate to tie him down to a new deal that would increase his price tag.

Alex Scott: The state of play
It’s thought that the Cherries, when negotiating a contract, would add a release clause for Scott, whom they value in the region of £60-80 million.
They are making his price tag as high as possible to keep him at the Vitality Stadium for what would be his fourth season, but the 22-year-old may feel tempted to explore a new venture after three years in Dorset.
At the time he made the move from Bristol City, Scott had garnered interest from some of the Premier League ‘big six’.
However, he favoured Bournemouth so that he could nail down a starting spot and play regular minutes, which has since only further aided his development into such a promising midfielder.

INEOS place Scott high on midfield shortlist
The Guernsey native played an integral role last term as Bournemouth secured European football for the first time in their history in the form of the Europa League.
Whether he’ll stick around to feature in their maiden campaign remains to be seen, with moves to the Emirates or Old Trafford providing him the chance to play in the Champions League throughout 2026/2027.

Regarding United’s potential swoop, they view Scott as a like-for-like alternative to Mateus Fernandes, who is being heavily pursued by Tottenham.
Spurs are the only side willing to meet West Ham’s demands, whereas the Reds believe they could haggle with Bournemouth to try and agree a lower sum for Scott.
