Andre Onana is reportedly ‘on the verge’ of joining Trabzonspor for a second successive season.
That’s according to BBC Sport’s Simon Stone, who adds that the goalkeeper would only be leaving on loan once again.

Manchester United will be keen to offload Onana permanently, but are perhaps accepting of the fact that the Turkish outfit would struggle to afford a transfer fee.
Alas, having him out of the squad and the bulk of his wages presumably being covered by Trabzonspor is the best-case scenario for INEOS, who have likely conceded that no suitors will be coming in with major offers for him this summer.
Onana joined the Super Lig club last September after falling entirely out of favour at Old Trafford, with his dismal showing in United’s second-round League Cup exit to Grimsby Town spelling the end of his Red Devils tenure – even though he is tied down to a contract until 2028.

Onana’s record for United in all competitions
The Cameroonian had already been demoted to second-choice shot-stopper behind Altay Bayindir for the beginning of the 2025/2026 Premier League campaign, but when he also failed to perform to an adequate level, United entered the market late in the window to pursue a deal for Senne Lammens.
Onana won’t be the only outgoing from the goalkeeping department
Lammens went on to impress so much throughout his maiden term that he was named the Transfer of the Summer by the official PL account, highlighting just how influential an impact he had on the side when he was eventually trusted to start between the sticks week in and week out.

Bayindir, on the other hand, will also be departing before deadline day.
It’s anticipated he will return to his native Turkey after a three-year stint in M16.
