He is tied to Santiago Bernabeu until 2028, meaning 2026/2027 would mark the penultimate season of his contract.
What one journalist is hearing about Tchouameni’s availability
Weighing in on United’s interest in Tchouameni, The Athletic journalist Mark Critchley told Stretford Paddock: “There seems to be, from our colleagues in Spain, an openness on Real Madrid’s part to him leaving this summer.
“If that accelerates later on in the window, wouldn’t you be happier with somebody of his calibre through the door rather than a bit more of a project player like Mateus Fernandes if the fee is not that different in the end?”
