Manchester United announced the capture of Andrey Santos on Monday, but three others could follow suit by the end of the week.
The Red Devils announced the 22-year-old as their first summer arrival. The Brazilian has completed a £50 million move from Chelsea following a swift agreement between the two Premier League giants.
Nevertheless, observers believe this will not be the last official announcement Man Utd will make this week.
Karl Darlow & Cristian Orozco will join Andrey Santos at United in the coming days
Earlier on Monday, the Manchester Evening News had anticipated Man Utd’s imminent Santos announcement, while also envisioning another two transfers getting completed this week.
The first is Karl Darlow, a 35-year-old goalkeeper who will join United as a free agent after seeing out his contract with Leeds United.
The Welshman had established himself as a regular starter at Elland Road during the second half of the previous campaign. He’s now set to replace Altay Bayindir, who is tipped to return to Turkiye, and become Senne Lammens’ understudy.
The other imminent new signing is Colombian teenager Cristian Orozco, although he’s not expected to join Michael Carrick’s first team this season.
The defensive midfielder turned 18 on Monday, so he’s now eligible to sign for Man Utd, who had effectively secured his services months ago.
Youri Tielemans will also finalize Man Utd move this week
When the MEN posted this update in the morning, the Youri Tielemans bombshell had yet to surface. Later on, The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed that Man Utd were in advanced talks with the 29-year-old Belgian midfielder.
A few hours later, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano all but confirmed the deal with his signature ‘here we go’, revealing that United will trigger the Aston Villa star’s £35 million release clause.
Therefore, we can add Tielemans to the list of expected new arrivals before the end of the week, as the 29-year-old should undergo a medical on Tuesday.

After these four signings, Man Utd will still need to shore up their midfield with a third new acquisition alongside Santos and Tielemans, as Orozco is too green to play at the senior level.
Moreover, INEOS could pursue a new left-back to support Luke Shaw. They may also sign a right-footed left winger, but only if they can offload the returning Marcus Rashford.
