Youri Tielemans is poised to be a Manchester United player by the end of the week, provided he passes his medical with flying colours.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is now booked in for his checks at Carrington this week.

United agree imminent deal for Youri Tielemans
United have worked efficiently to get a deal over the line as swiftly as possible by activating Tielemans’ £35 million release clause.

The 29-year-old is tied to Aston Villa until 2028, but will see his contract cut short after three years with the club.
He joined the Villans in the summer of 2023 as a free agent following his release from Leicester City, where he’d spent four years and made history by scoring the only goal of their FA Cup final triumph over Chelsea to secure the trophy for the first time.
This summer, Tielemans captained Belgium to the World Cup quarter-finals before being ruled out of the tie, which saw Spain win 2-1, just before kick-off.
Across his stints with both English sides, he has accumulated 244 Premier League appearances and 65 goal contributions.

Elsewhere, Romano has confirmed that Andrey Santos has ‘already signed’ his five-year United contract ahead of his move from Chelsea.
Santos is said to view the Red Devils as the ‘perfect chapter’ for his career after failing to nail down a starting spot at Stamford Bridge.
United have agreed a £50m deal for the 22-year-old, paying £48m upfront while pledging a further £2m in achievable add-ons.
The six-capped Brazilian has previously gained experience with Vasco de Gama, from whom he was signed, Strasbourg, and Nottingham Forest on loan.
