Fabrizio Romano reveals that Youri Tielemans is all set to sign for Manchester United after completing his medical.
On Monday, David Ornstein dropped a bombshell when announcing that the Red Devils are in advanced talks with the Aston Villa star, who has a £35 million release clause.
A few hours later, Romano stamped the deal with his trademark ‘here we go’, announcing that Tielemans’ arrival is now imminent.
Youri Tielemans passes Man Utd medical
Later in the day, it was revealed that the 29-year-old has arrived in Manchester to undergo his medical on Tuesday.
Indeed, the Belgian international started his day early, and according to Romano, he has already passed his medical.
“Youri Tielemans has completed his medical and signs today at Man United,” posted the Italian journalist on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Understand the agreement will be valid until June 2031, five years. Done and sealed.”

Tielemans will thus become Man Utd’s second summer acquisition, as the club had announced the signing of Andrey Santos on Monday. The Brazilian completed a £50 million transfer from Chelsea.
These two deals are part of United’s midfield revamp after losing Casemiro, who joined Inter Miami, and Manuel Ugarte to a long-term injury.
A third midfielder is still expected to arrive to shore up a midfield department that also features Kobbie Mainoo.
