Jarrod Bowen has signed a ‘revised’ contract with West Ham to ensure he stays at the club throughout their first season back in the Championship.
His terms still run until 2030, but the new agreement has set in stone that he’ll be staying put throughout 2026/2027 – much to fans’ delight.

To make matters more worrying, Bowen had garnered interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United, who’d set their sights on securing the Premier League-proven attacker for a cut-price fee.
INEOS, in particular, were attracted to Bowen’s versatility, with the Englishman able to play in any position across the frontline.

No moves were made by either top-flight suitor before the 29-year-old made his decision to stay at the London Stadium.
Bowen rules out instant Premier League return
United have been preoccupied with their pursuit of midfielders, having secured the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans while pulling out of a deal for Ederson in recent weeks.
In addition, any left-wing signing is likely to hinge on Marcus Rashford being sold.
The United graduate will be returning to Carrington in the coming weeks following England’s semi-final World Cup exit, where he will then presumably hold crunch talks with the board over his future.
Barcelona’s recent acquisitions of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi mean a return to Camp Nou is essentially ruled out, and David Ornstein revealed on Thursday night that Rashford’s £40 million release clause expired on July 15.

United do prefer to sanction a sale due to his exorbitant £325,000-a-week wages, but are preparing for the very real possibility that he’s reintegrated into the squad if no approaches are made.
