Manchester United chiefs are doing their due diligence in the transfer market to gauge who should be their third and final midfield addition.
Already, the club has sanctioned the arrivals of Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.
United add Eduardo Camavinga to shortlist
The pair cost a combined £83 million, meaning there will be cash left in the budget to facilitate another signing.
According to Ben Jacobs (via The United Stand), INEOS chiefs are considering the likes of Alex Scott, Manu Kone and Eduardo Camavinga.
Despite the latter wanting to stay at Real Madrid, Jacobs has confirmed there is ‘substance’ to the links due to the fact that Los Blancos need to sanction player sales to then reinvest and bolster Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Madrid overseeing back-to-back trophyless campaigns means only a few members of the squad are safe from the axe this summer, with Camavinga now looking like one of the most likely to be offloaded.
Is a deal for Camavinga feasible?
The European heavyweights are said to value the 23-year-old in the region of £68m.
Camavinga is tied to the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2029, so Madrid are under no pressure to accept a cut-price bid.

However, if it becomes common knowledge that he is no longer part of Mourinho’s plans and has been deemed surplus to requirements, they would presumably have to lower their demands – or risk him staying and playing a heavily reduced role throughout 2026/2027.
The France international, who was left out of Didier Deschamps’ squad for the World Cup, joined Madrid from Rennes in a £34.4m deal in 2021.
He unsurprisingly has added a lengthy list of titles to his name since making the switch, including two Champions Leagues, two La Ligas and two Spanish Super Cups.
