Radek Vitek is awaiting summer approaches in hopes of becoming a No.1 goalkeeper somewhere else.
Currently, the Czech international is spending pre-season with Manchester United and featured in their friendly against Wrexham on Saturday.
Radek Vitek: The state of play
Vitek has yet to make his senior Red Devils debut since joining their academy from Sigma Olomouc in 2020.
However, he did gain invaluable first-team experience last term after joining Bristol City on loan for the campaign.
The 22-year-old made 41 Championship appearances, conceding 54 goals and keeping 12 clean sheets in total.
Radek Vitek prevented 8.5 goals in the 2025/2026 Championship season, more than any other goalkeeper in the division.

Just before making the switch to Ashton Gate Stadium, Vitek penned a contract extension with United to keep him tied to his parent club until 2028.
That way, the Reds have full control over his future and transfer fee.

While fans have called for Vitek to stay in M16 and act as Senne Lammens’ backup throughout 2026/2027, it does look as though he’ll be offloaded.
You can’t really blame him, either, as going from being a first-choice ‘keeper to one who’ll be paying second fiddle for nine months isn’t the most enticing prospect for any young player.
What has Vitek had to say about his future?
Following United’s pre-season opener over the weekend, the shot-stopper spoke with reporters regarding his future.
“I feel great and ready to go again somewhere to, hopefully, be number one, so we’ll see what’s going to happen,” said Vitek, courtesy of Stretford Paddock.
“At the moment, I’m still here, but we will see. I hope there will be some interest. I think you’ll know when things are more concrete.”
On whether he would be leaving on another loan or permanently, he responded: “I am hoping for both – it depends on what the club wants. It depends on the options. We will see.
“There have been a few interested [clubs] on the table, but we hope to get the best one and, hopefully, it will happen soon.”
