Andy Mitten believes the likelihood of Marcus Rashford being reintegrated at Manchester United has substantially increased over the last few months.
The Red Devils insider revealed on the Talk of the Devils podcast that, in his opinion, there was a five or 10 per cent chance of Rashford playing for the club again back in February or March.
Now, however, he believes there’s an 80 per cent chance.

It comes after Barcelona opted against activating their £26 million buy option for the forward at the beginning of the summer, instead signing wingers Anthony Gordon and, last week, Karim Adeyemi.
Then, a fortnight ago, Rashford’s £40m release clause, which was valid for any club except Liverpool and Manchester City, expired, meaning any new deal would need to be negotiated with United.
It’s thought that the 28-year-old’s costly wages of £325,000-a-week are driving away potential suitors, as they would be simply unwilling to match them.

Yet, the only reason Rashford actually departed Old Trafford in the first place was due to a falling out with then-manager Ruben Amorim.
Now that Michael Carrick is at the helm, it would allow the Carrington graduate to have a fresh start at his boyhood club and play a key role in Carrick’s project.
The frontline also looks considerably different from when Rashford last featured in red, with Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha all since acquired to share the goalscoring burden – as well as Bruno Fernandes, who broke the official Premier League assist record last term.
In 2025/2026, Rashford notched 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances for the Catalan giants across all competitions.
Nine of those goal contributions came in the Champions League alone, so Carrick will be crossing his fingers that the Englishman can replicate such form when United make their return to the competition in the autumn.
