Altay Bayindir has revealed he’s none the wiser as to whether he’ll be playing for Manchester United next season.
When asked by a fan outside Carrington if he’d be staying at the club, he replied (courtesy of rachaelandimogenmufc on TikTok): “I have no idea. We will see. Time will show us everything.”

Altay Bayindir: The state of play
It is expected he will be on the move at some stage, however.
United have already secured the addition of a second-choice goalkeeper to provide backup to Senne Lammens in the form of Karl Darlow, so Bayindir would be in line to receive even less game time if he stays put.

15-capped Wales international Darlow, 35, boasts a plethora of experience in English football thanks to his spells with Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Leeds United.
Alas, you could see why Michael Carrick would rather deploy the veteran in cup games, assuming Lammens is rested, over the inexperienced Bayindir, who only ever featured in Turkey prior to his Old Trafford switch in 2023.
Bayindir waiting on concrete approaches
The 28-year-old is tied to United until June 2027, plus the option of an additional 12 months.
In regard to his potential destinations this summer, Besiktas have been eyeing a deal for Bayindir since the January window, but INEOS blocked the prospect of a mid-season sale – even though the ‘keeper did not play again for the remainder of 2025/2026.
His record for United in total stands at 17 appearances with 31 goals conceded and just three clean sheets kept.
