Manchester United will reportedly decline Arsenal’s offer to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly and will instead pursue a deal for Lewis Hall – even amid Newcastle United’s firm stance on his availability.
The Magpies have made it clear on numerous occasions since the window opened that Hall is off limits.
However, Samuel Luckhurst has reiterated that the player himself is keen on making the switch to Old Trafford.

Although Lewis-Skelly, 19, has reportedly been offered to both United and Chelsea, he is said to want to stay put at the Emirates, despite making only five Premier League starts last term.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are looking to cash in on their highly-regarded academy graduate, whose departure would generate pure profit, after shelling out £75 million to bring in Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle.
Lewis-Skelly is seemingly one member of the squad who’s been deemed surplus to requirements, with Arsenal believing they can make around £45m for the youngster.

As for 21-year-old Hall, speculation suggests he is more inclined to want to explore a new venture before next month’s deadline, but Newcastle will do everything in their power to stop it.

From INEOS’ perspective, there is an acknowledgement that the Tyneside outfit also held the same viewpoint for the likes of Guimaraes and, last summer, Alexander Isak, before both completed moves to league rivals.

He is tied to St. James’ Park until June 2029, so Newcastle are under no pressure to sell. In addition, he is a fan of the club himself and comes from a family of supporters, so he’s unlikely to force the board’s hand into sanctioning his exit.
