Alejandro Balde has reportedly told Barcelona chiefs that he would like to stay at the club this summer amid growing speculation over his future.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have been ‘exploring a sale’ for the youngster in the final weeks of the window, but it would take a ‘big proposal’ for a deal to actually be agreed.

Red Devils among Alejandro Balde’s suitors
Manchester United have recently approached the Blaugrana to gauge the feasibility of doing business for Balde, having conceded defeat in their pursuit of Lewis Hall.
With Newcastle United deeming the England international entirely off-limits, INEOS have had no choice but to turn their attention elsewhere while they seek a new left-back to provide coverage for Luke Shaw.
Balde poses as a suitable option, given he has plenty of experience at the top level and in the Champions League.

However, reports have suggested United would only be able to facilitate a loan at this stage of the summer due to their midfield rebuild totalling £148 million upfront.
INEOS unlikely to take Balde pursuit any further
Now, with the 22-year-old expressing his desire to stay at the Camp Nou, Barcelona may feel inclined to keep hold of him – especially if United aren’t offering a lucrative fee before the deadline.

INEOS do have other names on the shortlist, including Racing Santander’s Jorge Salinas and RB Leipzig captain David Raum, but time is running out to get an agreement over the line, with each player’s respective clubs also needing to secure replacements if exits materialise.
Meanwhile, Carlos Baleba was officially unveiled as a Red on Tuesday evening, even though he won’t be available for the coming few fixtures after sustaining an ankle ligament injury in pre-season.
