Hull City have established their interest in signing Toby Collyer, despite the Manchester United youngster being on the verge of joining West Bromwich Albion.
That’s according to Alex Crook, who adds that Hull are keen on bringing the midfielder back to the MKM Stadium following his brief loan spell last season.

How Toby Collyer fared last term
Collyer spent the first half of 2025/2026 with the Baggies, making 12 appearances (three as a starter) before sustaining a significant calf injury in the winter that ended his stint prematurely.
He went back to his parent club to recover at Carrington, and, by January, United had opted to officially recall him from his loan.
Once he’d been deemed fit to play again, United sought a new suitor for Collyer, sending him out on loan to promotion-chasing Hull.
Although the Tigers went on to achieve their quest by securing a top-flight spot, United’s academy graduate was limited to only five Championship appearances throughout the second half of the term.

In February 2026, the 22-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in training, rendering him unavailable once again.
Collyer may snub Baggies to secure PL minutes
Collyer is now looking to make up for lost time and get his career back on track, so he faces a significant decision in the coming days.

Reports had suggested the former Brighton and Hove Albion prospect was nailed on to join West Brom, but the opportunity to spend a full season adding to his Premier League experience with Hull, who defeated United 2-0 in a shock opening-day result, will be an enticing one.
It will come as a blow to West Brom if their agreed deal is called off, though.
Collyer is tied to the Red Devils until 2027, plus the option of an additional 12 months. He has made 13 senior appearances for the club up to this stage.
