Fiorentina have added their name to Joshua Zirkzee’s list of suitors as they prepare for Moise Kean’s impending departure.

Kean is closing in on an imminent switch to Como, meaning a direct replacement will be essential before the window closes.

Alas, reports have suggested that Fiorentina are eyeing both Beto and Zirkzee, with the latter their favoured choice.

However, Sport Witness has relayed claims regarding Manchester United’s financial demands, which are said to be in the region of £25-30 million.

Such a hefty fee would likely price La Viola out of a move, especially when Beto is set to be available for £21.4-25m with much lower wage expectations.

Beto, who’s three years older than the Red Devils star, has returned 20 goals and an assist in 98 Premier League appearances, whereas Zirkzee has notched five goals and three assists in 56 games since moving to England in 2024.

Michael Carrick opted against playing the attacker for United’s season-opener away to Hull City last Saturday, which only added to the speculation over his future.

Zirkzee has had to navigate a heavily reduced role for the last year, which was made significantly worse by the side’s lack of European football and early cup exits.

While United’s Champions League qualification would grant him more opportunities this time around, he will still be battling to stake his claim, even more so following the reintegration of Marcus Rashford, who can occupy any position in the frontline.

In addition to the monetary side of things, Fiorentina are aware that Serie A rivals Juventus want to bring Zirkzee back to Italy following his two-year stint with Bologna, and he has informed the Old Lady he’d be open to joining them.
