A comfortable 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday wrapped up a good week for the Reds.
Monday’s 2-0 win at Chelsea saw Pereira come on as a sub but Lingard was left out of the match-day squad. The trip to Bruges saw the pair return to the starting eleven but neither were involved against Watford.
Pereira and Lingard have been subject to a lot of criticism throughout the season and it looks like Solskjær has identified them as not good enough.
He was asked about it prior to Sundays game.
“We’ve picked a squad of 18 that we thought was the right 18. We’ve got cover on the bench. Wide-men, forwards, midfielders and defenders so that was a decision I made.”
