Nemanja Matic is set to sign a new contract at Manchester United, Solskjær has confirmed.
The Serbian midfielder was set to be a free agent in the summer but his recent upturn in form has earned him a one-year contract extension.
Matic seemed to be last in the pecking order going into the season but injuries forced Solskjær’s hand and the former Chelsea man looks set to stay beyond this season.
“We have agreed [a new contract] with him [Matic] so he will stay. 100 per cent,” Solskjær said ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby.
