Paul Pogba’s tumultuous United career looks to be coming to a close this Summer, with the MEN reporting that he has reaffirmed his desire to leave the Manchester club with his teammates.
The Frenchman has reportedly wanted away from a dysfunctional United setup for a while, with moves to Madrid, Barcelona and a potential return to Juventus touted as possible destinations.
It is in fact the latter option which has reappeared in the media recently, with the reliable Fabrizio Romano claiming that “Juventus are monitoring the Pogba situation”.Embed from Getty Images
While this potential outcome would not be surprising for many United fans who have felt the player has long yearned for a move away from United, Turin would come as somewhat of a shock.
The Italian giants lead the Serie A wage bill by a long way, with Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo earning a whopping €31,000,000 a year according to reports by Calcio Mercato. The addition of Pogba would be sure to further inflate this wage bill and is for many, the main reason why Juventus does not seem a viable destination for the former Old Lady star.
Time will only tell where the enigmatic Pogba takes his talents, but one thing is for sure, wherever he goes, drama will follow.
